A Buddhaful Adventure with Karl & Noi
Picture this: We're starting our adventure in the bustling city of Chiang Mai, then weaving our way through quaint towns like Doi Saket and Wang Nuea, and soaking in the charm of Chiang Rai. Oh, and don't forget the jaw-dropping views of the Mekong River from the famous Golden Triangle – Myanmar and Laos, here we come!
Our days will be filled with music, exploring ancient temples, meandering through local markets, and kicking back in comfy 4-star resorts. And when it's time to recharge, we'll treat ourselves to a little wellness and relaxation.
But here's where it gets really special: You will experience the joy of SEVA. Supporting places like the Elephant Nature Park Sanctuary, Wang Nuea Disability Center, the Healing Family Foundation, a Special Needs Home, and the Bunthong Chiang Mai Girls Orphanage. Trust us, there's nothing quite like it.
And of course, we'll be sharing in an ancient tradition of feeding the monks and paying our respects at the famous Doi Suthep Temple. It's the stuff Chiang Mai dreams are made of.
But our favorite moment is when you join us for a down-home traditional brunch at our home in the village, where you'll meet our lovely family and soak up that authentic local vibe. And we have a sweet surprise for you that day. I promise it will be an epic experience.
Feeling the urge to linger a little longer? We've got you covered with our Four-Night Extension, The Village Experience. Because hey, we all deserve to soak up more of that Buddhaful Thai magic. So let's do this!

Excursions
Please be advised that you should bring VERY COMFORTABLE walking shoes. Many of the excursions will give us a chance to do plenty of walking together. Being physically prepared to walk semi-long distances is important.
Four Star Accommodations ****
The rooms in these resorts are very comfortable, clean and beautiful. You will love them. In Chiang Mai we have planned to be in the heart of the old city so it will be convenient and easy for you to take a walk and explore on your own.
Dress Attire
Summer casual will be appropriate for the entire tour. We have a few parties and nights out to get a little dressed up but in Chiang Mai, dressed up is summer casual with color.
Important Note: Although we dress casually please keep in mind that you may need a shawl or something with sleeves to enter Temples and Monasteries we will visit. You will not be allowed to enter if you have a sleeveless t-shirt or tank top of any kind. Shoulders and knees may need to be covered in some places like temples.
For the majority of the trip we recommend comfortable functional clothing, a warm layer. walking shoes or trainers or good walking sandals. Sunglasses, mosquito repellent and sun screen are a good idea when traveling.
Health & Fitness
Drinking plenty of purified bottled water keeps everyone healthy. We even use bottled water for brushing our teeth, you will be fine. Shots and vaccines are NOT required but ask your doctor or wellness practitioner for their recommendations. Thailand has wonderful doctors and hospitals if needed.
To fully enjoy the experience, you should be able to walk a few miles without challenge, climb stairs, etc.
Covid 19
Thankfully COVID is under control but a pandemic is a fluid situation so we monitor the best practices to keep our group healthy and safe on our trip. Safety is our first priority and our itinerary is designed to lesson the possibility to exposure.
Thailand has fully reopened for international tourist and vaccinations are not required. That said, it is a good idea to travel with a copy of your proof of vaccination if you are vaccinated for Covid.
Is there a Release of Liability form for this tour?
Yes…Please understand that we are NOT a travel company and you are agreeing to travel with Karl and Noi as your guide in Thailand. That said, you are responsible for yourself. When you say YES and choose to join Karl and Noi, you agree to sign a release of liability form for any health conditions that would arise, accident, and even a death. This grants permission for your image and likeness, in any format and in any images you share with the group, to be used for commercial and promotional use. *All participants of the tour need to ask for written consent before using photos and video for commercial and promotional use.
How much luggage should I bring?
Pack Lite…Pack Lite - you’ll be glad you did
One(1) small or medium size suitcase and one(1) day pack (backpack or side bag). The day pack you can use to carry water, waterproof jacket, camera, etc.
TIPS ON PACKING LIGHT: Think Layering….pack clothing you can wear together if needed for cooler nights. Laundry services are available in every hotel.
*For souvenirs, you could purchase another bag or suitcase in Thailand if needed. They’re inexpensive. International airlines allows two checked bags but only bring one suitcase to Thailand, then if needed, bring two back home.
Watch this short video with tips on packing light: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eqc4A3J5rWg
Our SEVA Chariot (van or bus) needs to carry all of us and our luggage and I promise traveling light will make your traveling experience more enjoyable.
